Harvest Market is now closed for the season....
Harvest Market is closed for the season as of Monday, October 1, 2018. We were able to collect $1,886.35 for our organizations, including Harvest with a Heart and our Harvest Food Pantry. The breakdown is on our market page. We had 8,624 pounds of produce donated, of which 6,609 was corn. It seemed that the corn came on early and the rest of the gardens were later than normal. We heard that many people’s gardens just did not do as well as years past, and this was evidenced by the drop in produce after the corn was done. We do thank those that donated and hope that you will think of us again next year when you plant your gardens. We also thank those that came to get produce and for your generous donations that will go back to our community. We hope that you spread the word and bring a few new people with you next season.
Our food pantry is open year round and donations are always welcome. We accept monetary donations on this website under the pantry tab or they can be dropped off or mailed to Harvest with a Heart, 201 South Higbee St., Milford, IN 46542. We are also in need of food items, blankets, laundry soap, dishsoap, pine sol, paper towels, toilet paper and personal hygiene items (including shampoo, bar soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and mens and womens deodorant). These can be dropped off during operating hours or put in our drop box. If you are interested in doing a food drive for us, please call our office at 574-658-4156 and leave your information. Thank you for your continued support. We are so thankful for our generous community!!
